The Philippines, lost among the many oceans and seas, is not only an amazing place, but also capable of giving a head start to the most popular tourist routes in Southeast Asia. A sea of exotic (Cambodia), delicious cuisine and a well-developed resort infrastructure (Thailand), as well as dizzying skyscrapers (Hong Kong) - that's what the Philippines is. Therefore, the best resorts in the Philippines are a great mix of these eastern countries.
Baguio
The city is located on the island of Luzon, in its northern part. Baguio is surrounded by tropical rainforests, the main inhabitants of which are tropical orchids and mosses. It was they who gave the name to this place: "bagio" in translation from the local dialect means "moss".
This place houses the summer residence of the president of the kingdom. Outwardly, it is a real fairy-tale palace, but it is closed for visiting. You can only admire the building from afar.
Tourists will also be interested in other sights of the city. This is the Cathedral, located on the top of the hill. To get inside, you first have to overcome a whole hundred steps. The next place is the Bell Church. It is a rather unusual architectural structure. In some elements of the building, features typical only for the construction of pagodas are clearly traced, and in combination with magnificently decorated gates and window frames, they make the church completely unique.
Boracay
This island holds the title of the country's nightlife capital. It is here that all avid party-goers strive to get. The promenade along White Beach, covered with the finest white sand, serves as a promenade for all guests of the island. There are numerous bars and restaurants, discos and shops, where you will certainly find a souvenir for you.
White Beach, although ranked among the top-rated beaches, is quite a calm place, and finding a quiet corner here is not a big problem. The only exception is the period April-May. It's school vacation time.
Balabog Beach, located on the opposite end of the island, attracts numerous windsurfers and kiters. Due to the fact that the wind always blows here, you can ride here every day. There are rental points on the beach where you can rent all the equipment you need.
Mindanao
It is the second largest and most picturesque island in the Philippines. Mindanao is strikingly different from the rest of the islands: civilization has not touched this area too much, and the bulk of the population is represented by ethnic groups.
The main attraction of the island is the beaches. They are completely covered with completely black sand of volcanic origin. The incredible combination of coal-black sand against the backdrop of the bright blue sea makes the local landscapes absolutely fantastic.
