The Wuxi Metro is a public transportation system in the urban district of Jiangsu Province in the People's Republic of China. The first subway line of Wuxi was commissioned in July 2014. It is the only line so far, the length of which is about 30 kilometers, 22 of them are laid in an underground tunnel. There are 24 stations on the route for the entry and exit of passengers, which can also be used for transferring to other types of public transport. There are 18 Wuxi subway stations underground. Ground stations are located outside the central quarters. All underground stops are equipped with escalators and special devices for people with disabilities. Their design is based on horizontal elevators, which provide for doors between the tracks and the platform to comply with the rules of safe use and prevent accidents.
The train overcomes the only Wuxi subway route so far, marked in red on the maps, in 50 minutes at an average speed of 35 km / h. According to preliminary calculations, the passenger traffic in the Wuxi metro will be more than 250 thousand people daily.
