Most often, tourists visit Israel not to relax on the local coast, but to enjoy the ancient historical monuments that are full of this region. However, this does not mean that Haifa's best sandy beaches are not popular with them - quite the opposite. The calm surface of the sea, a clean bottom and an abundance of proposals for active recreation - all this attracts vacationers stronger than a magnet, and the impressions are enough for a whole working year.
Bat Galim
Bat Galim is considered by many to be the "main" beach here. It is located on the shore of the bay and is distinguished by a large number of neat breakwaters, which here and there cut the sea surface. Thanks to these breakwaters, the sea is practically never raging here, so parents prefer to drag their children here. For them, there is a real expanse here: playgrounds, clean sand, from which you can build huge castles, a gentle seabed and the absence of high waves. Here it will be convenient and pleasant for kids to learn to swim, and their parents will not have to worry too much about their safety - lifeguards are vigilantly watching all the swimmers.
Adults will not be bored here either, because for them on the Bat Galim beach there is a wide variety of offers:
- rental of beach equipment at a symbolic price;
- rental of equipment for extreme water sports, including small boats and boats, as well as pedal boats;
- the presence of cafeterias and bars for every taste, where you can calmly cool off while sipping iced tea or a stronger drink.
Of course, retirement on the Bat Galim beach is unlikely to work, since this beach is quite popular even among local residents. It is best to take a seat from the very early morning, because in the evening it often happens that there is simply nowhere for an apple to fall. If you are a lover of a calm, secluded relaxation, then it is better to look for other offers.
Dado Zamir
All the beaches of Haifa are distinguished by a high level of service and low prices for rental of beach equipment, but Dado Zamir is considered the best. It is noteworthy that this beach is very easy to get to - you can get to it both from the outskirts and from the city center. This beach is the cleanest of all that are located within the city. Dado Zamir is very well equipped and the nearby promenade is considered the longest in Haifa. Lovers of "wild" rest will also find a place here: a small part of the beach has not been touched by the benefits of modern civilization, so here you can feel close to nature and indulge in your own thoughts. The sea in this part of the beach is not so calm, as there are no breakwaters, and the local nature is left in its original form.
