The population of Europe grew very slowly due to endless wars, low life expectancy, high infant mortality, and low level of medicine. Today, the level of medicine in Europe is at an altitude, but due to the fact that the number of marriages is decreasing, and the number of divorces is increasing, the birth rate in European countries is below the level of natural reproduction.
