Description of the attraction
The Museum of Ethnography and Arts and Crafts is one of the most significant treasures of folk art and traditional household culture in Ukraine. The exposition will reveal to you not only a wide variety of traditional crafts of Ukraine, but also demonstrate how rich and vast the spiritual and cultural heritage of our country. It will allow you to touch the history of the people, to understand the deep social and cultural processes that took place in its history. The museum is located in the center of the city at 15 Svoboda Avenue - so it's easy to get to it.
Many of the museum's exhibits are single hand-made household items made in ancient times from clay, wood, bone, straw, wool, bird feathers and other natural materials. They are unique in their originality and artistic expressiveness. These exhibits breathe history and are a reflection of their era. Most of them are gifts from private collections.
Among the expositions, I would especially like to note an extensive collection of art glass products, which amazes with its skill and variety. The collection of mechanical and sundials, exhibits of pottery, metal products, and wood inlays are no less interesting. And, of course, one of the largest collections of Easter eggs, which reflects the traditions of different regions of Ukraine.
The museum has a lot to see and admire. Here, both excursions for schoolchildren and students, and individual ones are held. Everything here is imbued with the spirit of history and tradition. Visit him too. While standing in line for a ticket, look up and admire the graceful and such beautiful Statue of Liberty, which adorns the museum building.
