Description of the attraction
The exclusive attraction of Kem is the Snow Castle, which has been built every winter on the central square since 1996. Beautifully illuminated ice and snow sculptures and sound effects are the perfect backdrop for winter adventures. In the "Snow Restaurant", decorated with figures made of snow and ice, even the tables are ice, and the same ice seats are covered with reindeer skins. It serves traditional Lappish food.
Snow hotel "Mammoth" will give you a chance to experience the cold of a real polar night: the temperature in its rooms does not exceed -5C, but warm sleeping bags guarantee guests a wonderful night's sleep. There is also a chapel where couples come for weddings not only from Finland, but also from other countries. Right in the ice walls you can also enjoy the heat of the Finnish smoke sauna and immerse yourself in the caressing warmth of the bath.
