Description of the attraction
FKTs - Festival and Congress Center in the Bulgarian city of Varna was built in 1986. He represents Bulgaria in such significant international organizations as EFCT, ICCA, AIPC, which are related to international congress activities. It is part of the only pan-European network of cinemas in the European Union "Europa Cinemas". The complex annually receives about 250 thousand visitors at its events.
This cultural center is located in the city center, just a hundred meters from the beach, right in front of the main entrance gate to the Sea Garden. The complex unites exhibition areas under its roof, the total area of which is about a thousand square meters, a dozen halls and pavilions of various capacities and functional purposes, which are equipped with a variety of equipment that meets any task. The technical equipment of the congress center is at the highest level. The largest hall has about nine hundred seats, a large stage measuring 20 by 14 meters, as well as a concert organ and the most modern sound system.
The Festival and Congress Center is the main and most popular place in Varna for organizing and holding conferences, festivals, concerts, seminars and symposia. Cultural events of a national and international scale are often held here. Film shows are held daily in the complex. The center also has a cafe-bar, restaurant, shopping center and other facilities.
The FCC in Varna is a co-organizer of many prestigious events, including the Golden Rose, the Bulgarian festival of art cinema, Varna Summer, an international music festival, a theater festival in Varna, an international ballet competition, an international choir competition in May, a music festival of the radio station FMClassic, Albena - Bulgarian national holiday, children's international arts festival and many others. The International Film Festival "Love is Madness", which is a kind of visiting card of Bulgarian culture in the world, was initiated and organized by the Varna FCC in 1993.
