Equilibrium is a wonderful museum that presents the history of the development of various kinds of costumes. The museum has a permanent exhibition consisting of dolls, as well as changing exhibitions, which are updated and supplemented every month.
The museum is considered very young, besides, it has its own territory not so long ago. It takes a lot of time and effort to create museum exhibits in the form of dolls, but despite these obstacles, Equilibrium is constantly working on expanding and replenishing existing exhibitions.
There is a puppet school in the museum. It is here that pupils of different ages (from 17 to 70 years old) can try themselves in the role of creators of dolls, the exposition of which is presented several times a year at exhibitions of various exhibition areas of the city, for example, in the National Library, the Doll House under the leadership of Tatiana Kalinina. At the moment, students' exhibitions will be held on the territory of the Equilibrium Museum Gallery.
Various courses and master classes are held in the museum, for example, an author's doll made of textiles, an author's doll in a plastic suit, a frame toy made of felt. In addition, you can learn how to embroider with ribbons, create Irish lace, as well as how to make wool felting with the wet method, having received jewelry for clothes, shoes and hats, and dry felting (jewelry and toys).
Patchwork master classes are held with the design of bags, pillows, blankets, clothes and other accessories; you can create Teddy bears and their famous friends.
The Museum School of Costume History "Equilibrium" at any time is glad to accept into its ranks everyone who wants to learn different kinds of creativity. Masters of various orientations unite to take part in various thematic exhibitions. In addition, works of masters from other cities can also take part in exhibitions.
