Monument to Nonna Mordyukova is one of the sights of Yeisk. The monument to the famous actress is located in the city center, near the Zvezda cinema, not far from the monument to S. Bondarchuk. The grand opening of the monument took place in August 2008.

The bronze monument is a sculpture of a young Nonna Mordyukova in a peasant dress with a basket full of apricots. The actress sitting on the steps pensively looks into the distance. The author of this project was the sculptor I. Makarova.

Nonna Mordyukova spent all her youth in Yeisk. Here she learned to play the piano and guitar, ran to the cinema and dances, from here she left to conquer Moscow, becoming an actress.

Nonna Mordyukova was born in the Donetsk region on November 25, 1925. In 1950 she became an actress of the Film Actor's Studio Theater. In the cinema, the young artist made her debut while still studying. It was then in 1947 that Nonna, along with other young actors, was selected for the main roles by director S. Gerasimov, who made the film The Young Guard (1948). In this film, Mordyukova played the role of Ulyana Gromova. In 1955, the actress achieved another success, playing the role of Stesha in M. Schweitzer's film "Alien Relatives", which was released on the screens of the country in 1955.

Thanks to all her film works, Nonna Mordyukova became one of the best actresses in Soviet cinema. In total, the actress has more than 60 films. The most memorable images she created in the films "Mama", "The Diamond Hand", "A Simple Story", "Crane", "Relatives", etc. at the age of 83.
