Description of the attraction

A new building of the Provincial Business Center was opened at the intersection of Volskaya and Kiseleva streets in 2005. Located in the historic center of Saratov, the L-shaped building was built and designed in accordance with all the requirements of Class A administrative buildings. The variable number of storeys (from 6 to 8 floors) of the facade of the center emphasizes the originality of the architecture, and the mounted night lighting of the center with light bollards along the entire facade of the building makes the functional attraction interesting at night.

The name of the provincial business center was not chosen by chance, Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin, a reformer and statesman of imperial Russia at the beginning of the twentieth century, played a significant role in the history of Saratov. From March 1903 until the appointment of Emperor Nicholas II to the post of prime minister in 1906, Stolypin worked in Saratov as governor. During the three years of its reign, the city was ennobled and greened, the buildings of educational institutions and production workshops were built, the central streets of Saratov were asphalted for the first time. At the direct initiative of Stolypin, the University and the Conservatory were built in Saratov as the Imperial Minister, for which in 1909 Pyotr Arkadyevich was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Saratov". In addition to the Provincial Business Center in Saratov, there is the PA Stolypin Cultural Center, and a monument opposite the City Duma commemorates the memory of the great reformer.
