Description of the attraction
A kind of home museum of gnomes, located in one of the Monchegorsk apartments, is very popular far beyond the borders of the Kola Peninsula and is included in all, without exception, tourist guides of the Arctic. In a unique home museum dedicated to gnomes, you can find woodsmen, kikimors, brownies, but the owner of the museum, Lyudmila Chernysheva, is only glad of such a neighborhood.
The history of the establishment of the Museum of Dwarfs began about twenty years ago: in the city of St. Petersburg in one of the small gift shops Chernysheva Lyudmila Gennadievna decided to buy a toy dwarf. Lyudmila Gennadievna herself cannot explain what exactly prompted her to buy an unusual souvenir in the form of a forest fairy-tale creature - apparently the gnomes themselves decided everything for her.
In the process of collecting the collection, not only Chernysheva's friends, but also just acquaintances, provided important assistance - for this reason, representatives of almost all countries of the world settled under one roof. It is worth mentioning that among the numerous exhibits there are many works of authorship.
The mysterious forest family includes 885 elves, brownies, gnomes, trolls and other various wizards. Each of the characters has their own ancestry, as well as their place of residence. The owner of the museum's exhibits admitted that there are times when she turns to fairy-tale characters for help, but at the same time, the gnomes require an attentive and reverent attitude towards themselves. It happened that even the place where they are is not pleasant - then the toys can fall from the shelf for no apparent reason. At the same time, brownies categorically do not accept swearing and quarrels; therefore, if the brownie is angry, then you need to appease him, for example, put a bowl of milk on the threshold, because if the gnome is happy, then the house is also happy.
