Description of the attraction
The Moscow Drama Theater under the direction of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan is located on Lomonosovsky Prospekt. The theater was founded in March 1996. The core of the troupe of the new theater was made up of graduates of the course taught by Professor Armen Dzhigarkhanyan at VGIK.
The original name of the theater - Theater "D". The theater occupied a small room with a tiny auditorium on Kooperativnaya Street. The first show at the theater was a one-man show by Armen Dzhigarkhanyan - "Krapp's Last Tape" (S. Beckett). This was followed by the premieres of the performances "Twelfth Night, or As You Want" (V. Shakespeare, director K. Azaryan), "Kazakin, or Kamzol from Mascaril" (J. Moliere, director K. Nersisyan). "And the theater lives!" based on vaudeville by A. Lensky and A. Bondi. "Lev Gurych Sinichkin" (directed by V. Druzhinin). "Mozart and Salieri" by A. Pushkin (director V. Sarkisov). The theater's diverse repertoire is complemented by children's performances: "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves", "Good Country Australia".

The theater's performances have a well-deserved success with audiences and critics. Armen Dzhigarkhanyan proved himself to be a very talented teacher.
