Description of the attraction
Azrieli Center is a group of three unusual skyscrapers: round, triangular and square. At their foot is one of the largest shopping malls in Israel.
The Center was named after the Canadian designer, developer, Polish-born philanthropist David Joshua Azrieli, who carried out this largest and most expensive real estate project in Israel. Initially, the American-Israeli architect Eli Attiyah designed the towers below, but the billionaire developer demanded a change in plans. The result is an impressive trio of skyscrapers in Tel Aviv.
The tallest tower of the Center is circular, with forty-nine floors, and was completed in 1999. Its highest point is 187 meters above ground level, this is the tallest building in Tel Aviv. On the penultimate floor, during the life of David Azrieli, his personal office was located, above there are a panoramic observation deck and a restaurant. From the observation deck, you can see a significant part of central Israel - from Ashkelon (near the border with Gaza) in the south to the port of Haifa in the north. The entrance to the site is paid; paid telescopes are offered to visitors to explore the surroundings. Experienced tourists are advised to go straight to the restaurant, which has exactly the same views from the windows: together with a business lunch, it turns out to be only slightly more expensive.
The triangular tower is lower than the round one, its height is 169 meters, and the cross-section is an equilateral triangle. The squat tower is square, 154 meters high. Its lower thirteen floors are occupied by the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
At the base of the towers is one of the largest shopping malls in Israel. There are about thirty restaurants, about two hundred trendy shops, playrooms for children, eight cinemas. There is an excellent pirate-style playground for children - here children can climb, run, splash in the pool. The center is a lively place, many people visit it every day. At the same time, it is one of the safest points in the country: special attention is paid to the security system here.
Directly from the shopping complex, along a pedestrian bridge thrown over the highway, you can get to the neighboring Ha-Kiriya district to the foot of the 107-meter high Matkal tower. It houses the military departments of Israel.
