The demand for domestic tourism in our country is growing every day. New destinations are opening up, travelers will learn about the additional benefits of Russian resorts. And among them there are those that may well compete with the Turkish and European coasts.
Together with Evgeny Malygin, head of the Masters of Hospitality competition of the presidential platform Russia - the Land of Opportunities, we have selected the best SPA destinations in our country.
Healing springs in the land of volcanoes and in the permafrost
One of the most unusual and so far unusual destinations for Russian tourists is Kamchatka. Of course, rest here is not cheap. But if you take care of buying tickets in advance, you can save some money. As a reward, you will receive alien landscapes with volcanoes, hills, canyons, waterfalls and geysers. There is no such nature anywhere else in the world!
It is also easy to improve your health in Kamchatka. The balneo-mud resort of Paratunka can be reached by car from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The journey will take about an hour.
The hot spring springs from the ground here. You can swim in it at any time of the year, even when the outside temperature drops to -20 ° C. Sanatoriums and recreation centers are waiting for guests to show all the delights of the life-giving source, which is located next to the volcanoes and the Pacific coast.
You can also swim in cold weather in Yakutia. It would seem that there is nothing here but permafrost. But, in fact, this is a mistake. Near the city of Neryungri, a hot geothermal spring called Nakhot gushes out of the ground. The water here is mineralized, and its temperature is stable +32 ° C. Whatever the weather at this time, it is always pleasant to plunge into the waters of the spring.
The resort is surrounded by forests, so the air here is truly healthy. The territory of the base is complemented by pools filled with water from thermal artesian natural springs. One of the pools is open-air and the other is indoor. Guests are offered accommodation in wooden houses. Changing rooms are equipped here, which can be used even by those guests who do not live on the territory of the base, but have come to plunge into the healing water for several hours.
Yakutia is an unusual land, which is interesting to visit for any tourist. Near the town of Tynda there is an Evenk settlement. In the ethnic village, you can buy unusual souvenirs, take pictures with local residents and try on national clothes.
Mud springs of Krasnodar Territory and Pyatigorsk
It is worth going to the Krasnodar Territory for mud baths, which relieve joint pain, restore metabolism and reduce inflammation.
On the Taman Peninsula, near Anapa, curative mud can be found at the bottom of estuaries, lagoons and lakes. Mud volcanoes even form here. The Kiziltash Estuary in the Kuban River delta is the most famous mud spring in the Krasnodar Territory. It amazes tourists with its size, with an area of 137 square kilometers and a depth of 2.5 meters.
It is impossible to drown in the Kiziltash estuary. But the tan after the procedures in it becomes even and beautiful. In addition, local peloids contain substances that heal the skin and restore blood circulation.
So far, the mud resorts of the Krasnodar Territory are not as developed infrastructure as we would like. However, in the near future, everything may change, including thanks to the "Masters of Hospitality" competition. Participants will offer their interesting ideas on how to develop Russian health resorts, including in the Krasnodar Territory.
There are also mud springs in the resort town of Pyatigorsk. For example, the salt lake Tambukan is famous for its silty deposits, which are rich in sulfides, amino acids and humic substances. Anyone can take a course of mud therapy in specialized sanatoriums, of which there are more than thirty.
In the Stavropol Territory, you can find not only mud therapy, there are pools with such rare minerals as carbonic waters, radon waters, sulphide waters. In a word, anyone can find a SPA vacation to their liking.
"Marcial waters" and salt lake
Many sanatoriums have appeared in the Republic of Karelia as well. Despite the fact that the very first local resort, "Marcial Waters", this year is exactly 300 years old. It was founded by order of Peter I in 1719, with an eye on European mineral springs. Of the buildings of the 18th century, the Church of the Apostle Peter has survived to our time, all other buildings on the territory are modern.
Unfortunately, water from local sources cannot be transported. So you can try it only here. And don't be intimidated by traces of rust. There is a lot of iron in the local water.
After SPA procedures in the "Marcial Waters" you can go to look at the Kivach waterfall, which is located nearby. As well as the capital of Karelia - the city of Petrozavodsk.
We will conclude our selection with a story about a salt lake that stretches in Altai and may well compete with the Dead Sea. In summer, the water of Burlinskoye Lake in the village of Bursol turns pink, and white salt particles can be seen on the surface.
And although the official status of a sanatorium-resort lake has not yet been assigned, experts say that its water has healing properties: it heals wounds, stimulates blood circulation and even helps to lose weight.
Obviously, there are many amazing places in Russia that are in no way inferior to foreign ones. Of course, infrastructure is still not everywhere, but it will follow the flow of tourists who choose domestic resorts. The competition "Masters of Hospitality" will allow you to take a fresh look at the industry, attract investors and specialists for the further development of tourism in our country.
