Australia's closest neighbor is known all over the planet for its amazing pictures of nature - lakes and rivers, mountains and valleys, geysers that soar upward with magic streams, and severe glaciers. And also stunning beaches with delicate sand, azure waves, mixing with the same shades of the sky. Camping in New Zealand is an opportunity to be at one with nature, hear its heartbeat and feel its breath.

The best places to stay on the coast

One of them is Catlins Newhaven, it got its name in honor of the nearby town. The location of the tourist complex itself can be called very attractive - within walking distance from Surat Bey, which is known as the longest beach in the city. Many travelers say that the main highlight of their stay in this place is acquaintance with New Zealand sea lions.

The campsite consists of separate, quite comfortable chalets with stunning ocean views. It is not clear why each room has a modern TV, if there is such beauty around. Some (but not all) cabins have kitchenettes, while others have tea and coffee making facilities.

In addition to the salty ocean, located in the visibility zone, not far from the campsite there is a fresh lake Cutlins, the main entertainments of the guests are connected with water: fishing; observation of fur seals; canoe. There are other types of leisure, for example, golf, the course for which is located in a three-kilometer zone, hiking, for children - a playground. The campsite is located on the first line, so guests can sunbathe in a private beach area. The ocean shore in this place is equipped with everything necessary for water sports.

Another camping, located almost on the seashore, is Fitzroy Beach Holiday Park, experienced tourists cover the distance to the beach in one minute. On the territory of the recreation center, a garden is laid out, which carries two missions at once - it creates a shadow and decorates the life of the guests. Most of the time they spend on the beach, and the children's half of the holidaymakers have a choice - to swim in the ocean or stay at the camping, take water treatments in the outdoor pool. In addition, there is a playground nearby.

Guests can choose a bungalow with one or two bedrooms, deluxe category. Rooms are equipped with furniture, including kitchen, as well as household appliances. The latest generation TV and bathroom are additional bonuses for this campsite. Recreation takes place in nature, you can go hiking and biking, kayaking or peacefully fish from the shore.

Protected area - full rest

Moeraki Boulders Kiwi Camping is located practically in the Hampden Beach Nature Reserve. The complex received its name in honor of the local natural attraction - the Moeraki boulders, which can be reached by car (5 minutes) or on foot (30 minutes). The second (and for some people the first) attraction is the penguins. A colony of these interesting flightless birds is located eight kilometers from the camp.

The guests themselves live in individual or shared rooms, it is possible to accommodate up to 5 people. This campsite is also close to the ocean, where guests spend most of their vacation time.

An analysis of New Zealand campgrounds allows us to draw several conclusions: such recreation centers are located on the ocean coast or near other bodies of water, in a conservation area or near natural monuments. Among the entertainment, water sports and observation of interesting representatives of the kingdom of the local fauna prevail.
