Telling whether there are campgrounds in Hong Kong, what they are, and what opportunities for recreation they open up is too difficult. A European tourist, getting into this special administrative region of China, seeks, first of all, to see as many urban futuristic sights as possible, amusement parks that seem to have come from the future, technical innovations that are found at every step.

Only a few Russians dream of a vacation in Hong Kong campgrounds, because they do not know what miracles are prepared by the owners. Practice shows that this accommodation option is the cheapest, if not free, and therefore can be used by courageous tourists who made it to Hong Kong with five rubles in their pocket. The second point to keep in mind is that most campgrounds are located in local national parks.

Camping in Hong Kong - Good Options

One of the most striking examples of Hong Kong tourist complexes that have chosen a chic location in a national park is Lau Shui Heung Campsite. Firstly, it is located on the slope of Shek Au-Shan Mountain, right on the bank of the reservoir. Secondly, on its territory there are many huge trees that are more than a dozen years old. Thirdly, the conditions for staying in the campsite are quite acceptable, there is a barbecue area on the territory, tables and benches (benches) are located. Organized provision of the camp with drinking water, however, only during the tourist season.

Another option of this type is Hok Tau Campsite, which offers accommodation in tents, the number of which is limited to 40 units. It is also located on the southern slope of Shek Au-Shan Mountain, but on the banks of another reservoir, after which the camp got its name. Among the main attractions are outdoor recreation, walks in the surroundings and hiking trips of various difficulty levels. Staying in this campsite has already received beautiful comparisons from tourists with an idyllic vacation, a journey through the forest kingdom. In the camp itself, you can have a good rest, there are barbecue areas, tables with benches for tired travelers.

The next option - Chung Pui Campsite - is no different, it is also located in a mountainous area, surrounded by the picturesque, exotic nature of Hong Kong, the presence of a reservoir next to the tourist camp. Important activities include bird singing, walking in the surrounding area, exploring outlandish landscapes and photographing beautiful landscapes.

In this camp, you can rest at different times of the year, of course, depending on the season, certain entertainments come to the fore. With the onset of cold weather and a snow cover of sufficient height, the ski season begins. Skiing in the mountains of Hong Kong is fraught with some difficulties - there are no organized slopes, like the European ones, there are no lifts. But these are the conditions that many amateur athletes dream about.

In summer, one of the most favorite activities of tourists is a hike to the dam, which stretches for more than 2 kilometers, and is considered the longest in Hong Kong. The peculiarity of this object is that the water area is filled with fresh water on the inside, and sea water on the outside.

The characteristics of most of the campsites in Hong Kong reveal the following common features: location in the mountains, on the slopes of the mountains; the presence of rivers, lakes, reservoirs; the same entertainment: in the summer - hiking, in the winter - skiing. But at the same time, each of the Hong Kong complexes has its own zest, in its own way attractive in the eyes of foreign travelers.
