- Anakopia fortress - is a building of the 4-5th century, from which insignificant fragments have survived; a chapel and a well with healing water have survived to this day, as well as a restored watchtower equipped with an observation deck,
- Gega waterfall - you will be able to see the stream “falling” from a height of 70 m by getting to the waterfall in an off-road vehicle; to the left of it there is a grotto, from the crevices of which clear water, suitable for drinking, oozes,
- Azant Dolmen is a 3-meter high ancient monument of the megalithic epoch, which is a trapezoidal “stone box”,
- Bedia Cathedral - is the location of the tomb of King Bagrat III; the cathedral is famous for its fresco painting, but the most famous fresco adorns the western wall and displays the face of Constantine,
- Kelasur wall - of the surviving objects, the Kelasur tower stands out, the length of which is 15 m and the width is 6 m: a 4-meter wall adjoins it; most of the defensive structures can be found at the beginning of the wall - more than two hundred towers are located on an almost 60-kilometer stretch, and one hundred of them are in good condition.
Beach vacation
The swimming season in Abkhazia starts in early June (moderately hot weather contributes to the fact that the water warms up to + 18-19˚C by mid-May). The sea warms up significantly (+ 23-25˚C) in July-August (the air warms up to + 30-34˚C), when it gets quite hot in Abkhazia. You can also swim here at the beginning of September, as the water temperature usually stays at + 25-26˚C.
Vacationers will love the beaches of Pitsunda:
- Central Beach: invites guests to swim in clear water and relax on a pebble beach, on the territory of which there are cabins for changing clothes, food outlets, showers, points offering rental of sun loungers and beach umbrellas, equipment that will be useful for active vacationers and swimmers. Do you like more secluded beaches? Look for them (they are covered with sand + pebbles) on either side of the central beach.
- The beach of the "Litfond" boarding house: it is equipped with a shower room, a beach dressing room, a volleyball court, bamboo sheds, a toilet and a cafe. During the summer months, guests of the beach are spoiled with night discos.
Health tours
Those who come to Gudauta will be healed through aerophytotherapy (the air does not contain harmful impurities - it contains essential oils secreted by fruit groves and exotic plants), Audhar mineral water and water from the hydrogen sulfide springs of the Primorskoe village. So, you can have a good rest in the boarding house "Chernomorets": it has a restaurant "Abkhazsky Dvor", specially designated places for playing billiards, checkers, chess, table tennis, badminton, volleyball. - climb Mount Mamdzishkha - the climb will take 2 hours, and at different levels there will be platforms that allow you to admire the sea, Gagra, Pitsunda and the village of Alakhadzy from a height; and if you wish, you can go down by paragliding,
- go rafting on the Bzyb river - out of 3 sections along the Bzyb stream, the one that originates at the confluence of the Bzyb and Gega is relatively safe - this route stretches for 11 km, which must be overcome, armed with a life jacket and a helmet,
- visit the Valley of Seven Lakes - the path will lead past the Ritsa relict reserve, springs, mountain alpine meadows; of special interest is the 7th, beautiful lake Sultan Idzia; the excursion is designed for the whole day, and the walking part of the route will take about 4 hours,
- go for a horse ride along the Zhoekvarsky gorge - you will be able to admire the ruins of a watchtower of 1841, as well as see the yew, chestnut and boxwood growing here,
- visit the Bzyb gorge - the ruins of the Bzyb fortress and the former guard fortress of Khasan-Abaa deserve attention.
Event tours to Abkhazia
July will delight travelers with the chess festival "Abkhazia Open", and August - the art festival "Eucalyptus evening of Abkhazia" (creative contests and master classes are held). As for the little tourists, they will gladly take part in the celebration of Children's Day (June 1), during which they will be pampered with concerts, contests with prizes, theatrical performances, and sports tournaments.
