  • Travel to Carlsbad

This small European country absolutely calmly gives odds to the major players in the tourism business of the Old World. Excursions in the Czech Republic, in winter and summer, one- and many-day, individual or group - make her a leader in this area.

The guests of the country choose tourist routes to the most beautiful places, acquaintance with the best castles in Europe, endless discoveries in old Prague, famous beer or gastronomic tours. Importantly, many people here understand Russian, which has not been forgotten since the days of Czech-Soviet friendship. There were some sad pages in the relations between the two countries, but nevertheless, the attitude towards guests is quite friendly here, regardless of whether they came from the West or from the East.

Capital excursions in the Czech Republic

Golden (literally) Prague is the main point in the route of many tourists. Most of the guests begin their acquaintance with the country from here, where ancient architecture has been preserved, which plunges into the Middle Ages, where there are options for getting to know the city on foot, by car-bus, river tram or pleasure boat.

In the capital, there is a huge number of sightseeing and thematic excursions, their cost varies quite a lot. The most economical option - 16 € per person, this is an acquaintance with the city, part of which (2 hours) is by bus, part (2 hours) - on foot. In four hours, guests of Prague have time to learn a lot of interesting facts about it, see the main sights, highlight the monuments to which they would like to return.

The list of the main Prague attractions includes the following objects:

  • Prague Castle, the seat of the kings of Bohemia;
  • St. Vitus Cathedral;
  • Charles Bridge, a masterpiece of architecture and art;
  • Old Town Square, historic city center;
  • Cathedral of St. Nicholas.

In principle, the list of monuments of architecture, history, culture of Prague can be continued endlessly, just like trying to choose your own version of a city tour. The excursion "Russian Prague" can become a highlight of the routes, because many geniuses of Russian culture (literature, music, painting) were associated with this city, for example, Marina Tsvetaeva.

On the other hand, you can take a more detailed tour of one of the attractions or a historically important area. Prague Castle is quite worthy of a separate excursion, and the tourist will not regret spending 15 € for a 4-hour walk through the places of glory of the Czech kings, emperors and the current president. The program of the route includes a visit to the Cathedral of St. Vitus, located nearby, the Royal Palace, the Golden Lane, Hradčany and Letensky Gardens. From here, magnificent views of the capital of the Czech Republic open up, which remain in the memory and in the photo.

It is interesting that children - guests of Prague - also have their own excursions, they are so unusual that many adults want to take part in them. One of these routes is called "Ghosts of the Old City" (cost 16 € per person for 2 hours of walking, group of 5 tourists). This excursion takes place in the evening and introduces Prague and its legends.

Non-capital excursions

Not only the capital is in the center of attention of guests, but also other cities, towns, regions. In the list of popularity, the city of Kutná Hora, famous for producing one third of all silver mined in Europe, is in the first positions. The excursion from Prague will cost 140-200 € for a company of 4 people, the duration of the route is about 8 hours.

The program of such an excursion includes a walk around the city, through the famous royal court, a visit to the ossuary and the church of St. Barbara (protected by UNESCO). If you wish, you can go even further, or rather, deeper, there is a mine in the city today, which serves as entertainment for the most daring tourists.

There is an option to combine a trip to Kutná Hora with a visit to the Gothic Sternberg fortress. It was erected in the 13th century, in a very convenient place - above the Sazava River. Zdenek Sternberg lives in the castle with his wife, but tourists can walk through the halls, get acquainted with the collection of graphic works, porcelain and silver collected by previous generations of the owners of the castle-fortress.

Travel to Carlsbad

This name was given to a popular resort at the beginning of the twentieth century, today it is called Karlovy Vary, it is located very close to the capital, therefore we often visit Prague as guests. The main value of the resort is mineral springs, they are all in the public domain, so any excursion takes place in the form of a story, interspersed with a tasting.

Today this famous Czech spa puts its motto "not entertainment, but treatment", so there are two options for getting to know it: one-day stay, excursion and tasting; passing a treatment course in one of the sanatoriums, boarding houses. In the latter case, there is an opportunity to get to know the city in more detail, as well as to visit the surroundings of Karlovy Vary with excursions, where there are many beautiful places and monuments of Czech history.
