Christmas in Germany is always a return to childhood, to the fairy tales of Hoffmann and the Brothers Grimm, to the world of the enchanted nutcracker and Madame Blizzard, to the snow sparkling in the light of the windows of half-timbered houses and an elegant Christmas tree, in the needles of which forest spirits lurk. And there are also fairs with their countless multi-colored treasures, aromas of wax candles, spices and fresh baked goods, with ice rinks, slides, ringing of bells over carousels. And in the "city on the high bank", Hanover, Christmas will stun with its fairs, their abundance and variety. The largest of them is in the old part of the city, near the market church. 170 tents and houses are located on the square. They not only sell all kinds of gifts and souvenirs, but masters of ancient crafts: glass blowers, potters, masters of candle making and other half-forgotten professions demonstrate their art, surprising both guests and local residents. And in all this festive whirlwind in the Christmas forest on Holzmarkt Square, it is impossible to pass by the Oskar-Winter-Brunnen well without making wishes and spinning its wheels, and it is easy to believe that everything will come true.

Hannover is considered the best exhibition center in Germany; five of the ten largest exhibitions in the world are traditionally held here. But it is also a city of parks, gardens and unique architecture. He has something to show to the guests, to whom he treats with touching care: from the equestrian statue of King Ernst August at the Main Railway Station, there is a "red thread", a red line on the sidewalks, indicating the way to the city's attractions: the Sprengler Museum, where the collection is presented paintings of the early 20th century, works by Picasso, Klee, Malevich and other celebrities. To the Köstner Museum, which stores works of the ancient Romans and Etruscans, Greeks and Egyptians, handicrafts from the Middle Ages to the present day, to the Museum of Lower Saxony.

The route of the "red thread" includes

  • Old and New Town Halls
  • Begink's Tower
  • Aegidian gate
  • Opera theatre

And much more, in total there are 36 objects in the route.

It is interesting to visit the Serengeti Safari Park. In it, as in the famous African park, numerous wild animals roam freely on the territory of more than 200 hectares.

Entertainment

The old part of Hanover enchants guests with picturesque half-timbered houses, lures with art galleries, antique shops, elegant boutiques, bistros and pubs. It is impossible to resist here and not to indulge in dizzying shopping. And all the conditions have been created for him. In the city center, in a small area in pedestrian zones, there are both small shops and huge shopping centers with restaurants and cafes. Here you can relax, have fun and buy everything you dreamed of. And Christmas Hannover will be remembered as the city where you were a welcome guest.
