The ascent to the observation decks of Beijing will be rewarded with the contemplation of the Forbidden City, the temples of Confucius and the Great Bell, Tiananmen Square and other objects.
Beijing TV Tower
The building, more than 400 m high, has:
- a restaurant on a rotating platform at a height of 221 m (the menu includes Chinese, European, grilled dishes);
- underwater world "Taipingyan" (located under the tower): moving along a transparent tunnel (its length is 80 m), you will be able to see representatives of the marine fauna;
- one of the best observation platforms at a height of 238 meters, from where you can see the Summer Palace, Western Hills, White Pagoda (Beihai Park) and other places of interest (a powerful telescope is installed here).
And the Beijing TV Tower is also interesting for its annual race, the essence of which is to quickly overcome more than 1400 steps leading upward!

How to get there? You need to get off at the Hangtian Qiaonan stop, having previously taken one of the buses number 8, 374, 64, 40, 624, 323, 368, 836 or 944. If you decide to use the subway, you need to take line 1 to Gongzhufen station (address: Haidianqu Xisanhuanzhonglu, 11 hao).
Jingshan Park
Since the park is divided into five hills, the top of each of which is crowned with a palace in the Chinese style (the "Pavilion of Eternal Spring", where the gilded statue of Buddha Vairochana is located, is especially popular), the center of the Chinese capital is perfectly visible from the artificial hills (height - about 45 m) with its sights (it is advisable to take binoculars with you to see the city architecture and streets).
The park is especially loved by the elderly - they walk here (the park is wonderful during the flowering of peonies and sakura), sing, dance, paint, participate in cultural events. The ticket price is 10 RMB.
How to get there? To the Jinghan Dongmen stop by bus # 124, 210, 111, then go to the east gate of the park; to the Gugong stop by bus # 103, 2, 109, 1, 685, 202, 814, 124, then go to the south gate of the park.
Linglong Olympic Park Observation Tower
Walking along the park alley, on the way, there will be cafes, exhibition complexes, sports arenas, a rock garden, an artificial lake, gazebos and bridges. It is unlikely that one day will be enough to get around the entire Olympic Park (the walk can be on foot, by bicycle or by electric car), but you can explore its territory and attractions from the observation deck of the Linglong Tower.
