Vladivostok is indented with bays and bays: this beauty, as well as boulevards built up with century-old buildings, can be admired from a height (Vladivostok observation platforms are at guests' disposal).

Review of the best observation decks

  • The viewpoint at the Far Eastern State Technical University: this viewpoint is popular not only among tourists, but also among locals (in this place, beautiful photos are obtained) - from here you can admire the central part of Vladivostok and the Golden Horn Bay. It is also worth visiting the monument to Cyril and Methodius (due to the fact that they created the Slavic alphabet, services began to be held in the Church Slavonic language - previously Latin and Greek were used). The upper station of the funicular is Eagle Hill.
  • Egersheld Lighthouse (founded in 1876): travelers come here with one goal - to take photos of breathtaking views from the lighthouse (on the right - the sea, on the left - Russky Island). You can get as close as possible to the lighthouse by driving to the address: Verkhneportovaya Street, 40, and those who wish can be brought here by water transport (mini-ferry or barge).
  • Alekseevskaya volcano: a small volcano in the center of the city received this name in honor of prince Aleksei Romanov - here the entire center is visible at a glance (it is clearly visible from the central streets). Address: Sukhanova street.

Russian bridge

This bridge connects Russky Island (a trip here involves inspecting the remains of the Vladivostok Fortress) with the mainland part of the city: despite the fact that pedestrians will not be able to climb the observation decks, the entrance to which is via stairs hidden inside each of the pylons (only staff watching the bridge, but sometimes photographers are allowed to climb here), here you can drive a car to look not only into the distance, but also down to the water surface (you will be above the water at a height of 70 meters). Address: Velvet Street.

Sopka Refrigerator

At its top (the height of the hill is more than 250 m) is the Muravyov-Amursky fort (built in 1901-1903) and an observation deck (there are 4 cannons), from where you can admire Vladivostok and the Amur Bay. It is worth noting that paragliding lovers have chosen this hill, the mountain slopes of the hill are used for holding cross-country and downhill championships, and the eastern slope has places for outdoor recreation. Address: Przhevalsky Street.

Ferris wheel on Sportivnaya embankment

Sitting in an open booth (it is best to do this in the evening, when the city is illuminated by numerous lights), travelers will be able to admire the embankment itself, as well as see the Ocean cinema, Dynamo stadium and part of the city center. The ticket price is 100 rubles (the attraction works only in the warm season).
