For many residents of the USSR, Bulgaria became the first resort and geographical discovery. In the 80s, the shock workers of production and party apparatchiks were awarded with a trade union ticket to Golden Sands. In those years, the "16th Republic" experienced a real tourist boom among the representatives of the so-called Eastern Bloc. Time passed, our compatriots discovered Turkey, Egypt and Thailand, but there are no fewer visitors on the Bulgarian beaches. It's all about comfortable conditions for a family vacation, albeit not too pretentious.

Nature and climate

The Black Sea climate is temperate continental and does not cause special acclimatization, it is almost never stuffy here. Mountains with dense pine and deciduous "underbelly" do not allow the heat to roam in full. The nature, ennobled by citruses and palm trees, reminds of the pioneer childhood in "Artek". What do children need? A warm sea with a gently sloping entrance, clean sand, moderate sun softened by the sea breeze and clean pine air that heals many months of runny nose and allergies. Bulgaria has all this "belongings".

In June, it is still cool on the Black Sea coast and the water barely has time to warm up, and in September it's time to go to school - the vacation season is quite short here, although guidebooks promise a swimming season from May to October. And this tempting offer is used by many of our compatriots, renting apartments for the summer or even purchasing real estate. However, many Bulgarians living in large cities such as Sofia close their offices in the summer and move to the sea. More and more often Germans, Czechs and British come to the Bulgarian resorts. The spoiled and discerning European public is irresistibly attracted by very low prices.

Fun for everyone

In Bulgaria, they try to please foreign tourists - they build new hotels, come up with a varied cultural and entertainment program and tirelessly improve the service, and here the Bulgarians have something to work on. One of the most popular destinations is the Golden Sands of Bulgaria. On the one hand, it is not much different from other entertainment tourist "Mecca": noisy nightclubs until dawn and open-air discos, various restaurants, hotels in three lines, and tight-fisted Germans prefer to climb higher than everyone else … The main difference from European "hangouts" a similar plan remains relatively cheap. However, rest in Golden Sands or Sunny Beach is focused mainly on young people and singles in the stage of looking for partners and adventures.

However, young parents, whose plans do not include a vow of seclusion, will find an opportunity to actively relax here. In the large resort towns, which certainly include the Golden Sands of Bulgaria, there are countless children's clubs. Their main task is to let the parents go about their resort business and to keep the little ones busy with something useful: drawing, singing in English, theatrical performances - so long as they do not remember their parents.

The whole family can also kill time pleasantly: in the water park, in the amusement park, on one of the countless attractions. Bulgaria has all the possibilities for sports leisure: from newfangled diving to aristocratic golf.

And yet, the main advantage that made not only residents of post-Soviet states, but also experienced cruisers from Germany, England and even Switzerland take a new look at Bulgaria, is the low price by European standards. Yes, the Golden Sands of Bulgaria will not provide you with a luxury vacation, and the Black Sea loses even to the Adriatic. After all, there are five-star hotels for capricious tourists, while for the rest the flaws in service and the lack of exoticism are redeemed by an acceptable price and hospitality of the local population.
