The airport in Syktyvkar is the largest airport in Komi, connecting the capital of the republic with Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Pechora and 50 more cities in Russia and countries of the near and far abroad by air lines. Its runway with asphalt concrete covering is 2.5 kilometers long, which allows the company to receive aircraft such as Boeing 757-200, Boeing 737-800, An-148, as well as lighter ships and helicopters of any type.
The airport has international status. Its capacity is about 250 people per hour.
At the moment, at the level of the government of the Russian Federation, the issue of defrosting the construction of a new airport in Syktyvkar "Sokolovka" is being decided, the creation of which began in 1980, but due to the crisis, it was suspended indefinitely.
In addition to transporting passengers, the airline performs:
- transportation of mail, cargo (including on an external sling)
- transport services in hard-to-reach areas of the region, as well as providing emergency medical care
- flights over poorly oriented terrain (tundra) and in the mountains
- patrolling oil and gas pipelines and offshore platforms, as well as power lines

There are also Rospechat kiosks and souvenir shops.

Transport
The airport in Syktyvkar is one of the few airports in Russia, which is located directly in the city center, so it will not be difficult to get to your destination from here.
City buses # 5 and # 5D run regularly to the railway station. Minibuses run constantly, with an interval of 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can use the services of local taxi drivers. A taxi ride will cost about 100 - 300 rubles, depending on the destination. A bus and minibus ticket costs 18 - 20 rubles.
