Description of the attraction

The park of forged sculptures is one of the most popular recreation areas in the city of Donetsk. It is located behind the building of the Voroshilovsky City Council in the park. In this park of forged sculptures you can see the works of the best blacksmiths of the whole Donbass.

The author and leader of this project was Viktor Burduk, an honored worker of Ukrainian art. This park was opened in the summer of 2001 and the first 10 forged figures were installed there. At the same time, an international festival was held, which was dedicated to blacksmithing skills, and is annually held in Donetsk. And since then, according to tradition, the works that are made for the festival remain in this park as a gift to the city of Donetsk. There are about 162 art metal compositions in the park.

In 2002, 19 more metal figures and two gazebos were installed, which were called “Ukrainian” and “Four Dragons”. And a little later, in 2004, the “Lovers' Gazebo” was installed. In 2005, the Zodiac Signs alley appeared on the territory of the park and the 7th international festival of blacksmithing skills was held. In 2006, the “Bouquet of Masters” and an alley of characters from fairy tales were installed. In 2007, the “Avenue of Arches” was opened, which consists of 11 arches, and about 16 benches for lovers were installed.

In 2008, the park was recognized as unique on the territory of Europe, and Donetsk is accepted as a full member of the Ring of European Blacksmith Cities. In honor of this, the “Alley of rings” was opened, and the next year “Alley to the beloved city”. In 2010, at the 12th Festival of Masters, the Alley of Masters was opened, which was dedicated to Euro 2012. And also an alley of "Architectural copies" was opened, in which there are 144 exhibits. In February 2012, the composition “New Year Tree” was installed on the “Alley to the Favorite City”. The park also received its first diploma from the "Book of Records of Ukraine".
