Description of the attraction
National Park "Call of the Tiger" is one of the natural attractions of Primorsky Krai. The park was founded in June 2007. The main purpose of its creation was the preservation and restoration of natural complexes and objects, as well as historical and cultural objects, environmental education of the population, the development and implementation of scientific methods for the protection of nature, the implementation of environmental monitoring, the creation of all the necessary conditions for regulated recreation and tourism.
The national park is located in the southeast of Primorsky Krai. The territory of the park includes sections of districts - Chuguevsky, Olginsky and Lazovsky. The main objects of protection in the park "Call of the Tiger" are animal species included in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the Red Book of IUCN, including 6 species of mammals, but the main one, of course, is the Amur tiger.
The territory of the national park is characterized by significant biological diversity. Most of the total area of the park is occupied by forests. The most widespread here are stone-birch, spruce-fir-cedar, oak, mountain-tundra and cedar-deciduous forests. Among the huge number of flowering plants, you can see beautiful peonies, lilies, shoes and many other beautiful and rare plants that need protection, including: Pacific berry, real ginseng, Baikal skullcap, pointed yew and high lure.
The national park is also famous for its rich variety of fauna. The Amur tiger and the Far Eastern forest cat deserve special attention. Common representatives of large mammals include the Himalayan and brown bear, red deer, wild boar, roe deer and musk deer. Almost all rare, valuable and endemic species of mammals of the south of the Far East region live here - up to 54 species are officially registered.
The bird kingdom of the national park is also quite diverse. The park is home to 238 bird species. Rare and endemic species include the black stork, scaly merganser, shaggy nuthatch, fish owl, wasp eater, osprey, mandarin duck, needle-footed owl, white-tailed eagle and others.
The natural attractions of the National Park "Call of the Tiger" include the highest mountain in Primorye Oblachnaya (1854 m), Mount Sestra (1671 m) and Mount Kamenny Brother (1402 m), the Milogradovka River and the largest waterfall in this region - Milogradovsky Falls.
