Description of the attraction

In the vicinity of the resort of Hammamet, near the village of Buficha, there is the Phrygia zoo, which consists of a dolphinarium and the actual zoo. The dolphinarium on the territory of the zoo appeared 10 years after the opening of the entire Phrygia complex.

Performances by dolphins and local stars - funny sea lions - take place in the morning and evening. The entrance ticket to the zoo allows you to visit the animal show at the dolphinarium for free. There are two sea lion shows every day - in the morning and in the evening.

Simultaneously with the evening event in the dolphinarium at the zoo, another show takes place, which is held in a pavilion stylized as a Zulu hut. This is a restaurant with a capacity of 450 people. The show, which should be purchased additionally, is called "Zulu Evening". This is a performance by animators depicting representatives of an African tribe. Actors perform Zulu dances, sing and play African instruments.

In the oldest part of the zoo there are large open-air cages with animals mainly living on the Black Continent. The predators can be watched from the bridges above the enclosures. Majestic lions, fast cheetahs, treacherous crocodiles and other inhabitants of savannahs, reservoirs, deserts live here. There are also animals brought from neighboring continents. There are always many people above the place where beautiful white tigers are kept.

Herbivorous fauna are kept in more accessible enclosures, which can be approached closely. Some antelopes, giraffes, zebras are allowed to feed.
