Description of the attraction
The sculpture garden is located in the courtyard of the Platinum Plaza shopping center at 72 Sumskaya Street, in the very heart of the city. In the perimeter of the courtyard, there are exhibits provided by the collector A. Feldman.
The sculpture garden includes several works by the famous Israeli sculptor Franco Meisler, who is the author of the Columbus monument in Madrid, the fountain in Jerusalem, as well as the author of the composition on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow and the "Monument to Homeless Children" at Liverpool Station.
The most interesting sculpture in the garden can be called the composition "Family in business", which depicts relatives-monkeys. The characters have a very modern look, although, according to the author, there is no symbolism in them - these animals are not represented in any roles, they just live for their own pleasure. This bronze sculpture was made especially for the Feldman family in a single copy.
The sculptural composition "Cello Concert", in which three musicians make up a whole orchestra, looks no less attractive. The sculpture stands on a revolving pin, and looking at it from all sides, you can see a couple more musical instruments.
Not far from the "Cello Concert" there is a shop with a bronze boy. There is a lot of space on the bench and all interested visitors can sit down to take a picture next to the “connoisseur of beauty”.
A few meters away, right on the asphalt, lies a photographer with his camera. He is so passionate about his work that he does not even notice how a bird is placed on his shoe.
In the second corner of the courtyard, there is a collection of Feldman's vehicles: motorcycle models, a rare car. Also, at the entrance to the sculpture garden, there is a globe of the city of Kharkov.
Franco Meisler's sculptures are well-known and have brought him international fame.
