Description of the attraction

House-Museum of the outstanding artist V. A. Igosheva is located in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk on a quiet street Lopareva. The main purpose of the creation is the storage of the artist's works and the widespread popularization of his work.

The collection of the artist's works began to take shape in the 90s. on the initiative of the local government and the governor of the region A. Filipenko.

The collection mainly consisted of works dedicated to the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug. By 1999, when the collection of V. Igoshev's paintings already numbered about 100 paintings, the government of the Khanty-Mansiysk District decided to build a special house-museum. The construction of the building began in 2000 and ended in 2001. The grand opening of the house-museum took place on October 28 of the same year, on the day of the 80th anniversary of the master.

The architecture of the building with elements of Russian Art Nouveau belongs to the art of the late XIX - early XX centuries. - it is in this historical period of Russian art that the artist sees the origins of his work. The project of the house-museum belongs to the Moscow architect E. V. Ingem, who decided, in addition to the exhibition halls, to create an artist's studio and apartments.

All the decoration of the museum house is made in the same architectural style. The graceful facade in the Russian Art Nouveau style is decorated with beautiful mosaics and decorative lattices. The exposition opens with portraits of V. A. Igoshev - his father, mother and wife. The office presents the artist's personal collection of graphics and paintings, collected during his trips not only around the country, but around the world, as well as an unfinished self-portrait. Visitors are invited to: an interesting story about the history of the founding of the museum, about the life and creative activity of V. A. Igoshev, the interiors of the artist's studio and study, acquaintance with the works of the Northern cycle, which tell about the life of the indigenous peoples of Ugra.
