Description of the attraction

Park "Preobrazhensky" in Abakan is one of the most beautiful places in the city. Green spaces, beautiful fountains, clean ponds, cozy benches and winding paths make this park attractive not only for local residents, but also for city guests. The park is located right behind the Transfiguration Cathedral. Almost every guest of Abakan has a photograph taken against the background of a park fountain, through the jets of which one can see the golden domes of the majestic cathedral.

On the territory of the Preobrazhensky park complex, you can visit the amazing Park of topiary art called "Gardens of Dreams". The total area of which is 14 hectares. Here you can find many different decorative landscape gardening sculptures and various landscape designs. Rare trees, plants and exotic flowers attract special attention of the park's visitors. Aviaries with rabbits are a special delight for children. Also on the territory of the park there are a lot of carefully executed sculptures that mark various places on the earth. One of the attractions of the park is a small copy of the world famous Eiffel Tower.

In 2006, a grand opening of an architectural and park complex with a statue of the "Kind Angel of Peace" took place in the park. The height of the statue is 2.5 m. At the base of this architectural composition is a kind of chronicle of patronage. On the commemorative plaques one can see the carved names of 60 great benefactors of the past: Count Sheremetev, merchant Tretyakov, representatives of the Morozov and Mamontov dynasties.
