The Thai island of Koh Phangan, located in the Gulf of Thailand, is known to party-goers all over the world. Every month, on a full moon, here is the noisiest party not only in the whole of Thailand, but, perhaps, in the whole of Asia - Full Moon Party. On the eve of the holiday, young people from all over the world gather here to dance on the seashore. The fun would have been less intense if it weren't for the local alcoholic "cocktails" served in buckets. After the full moon, life on the island stops. It again turns into an ordinary Thai island, which is remembered by a small number of tourists looking for peace and quiet.
To get the most out of your vacation, you need to know exactly how to get to Ko Pha Ngan, an island that is not yet as popular as other Thai resorts.
Path to Koh Phangan
Ko Pha Ngan does not have its own airport, so tourists who dream of coming here simply have no choice but to first get by plane to the following cities / islands to choose from:
- capital of Thailand Bangkok. The local international airport Suvarnabhumi accepts planes of many airlines, which makes it possible to find an acceptable and inexpensive flight option from Russia;
- the island of Koh Samui, which is located next to Koh Phangan, which significantly reduces the time a tourist spends on the road to his own hotel;
- the city of Surat Thani, which is located on the mainland next to the islands of Koh Samui and Phangan.
After the traveler is in Thailand, he needs to use other public transport: bus and ferry (catamaran, boat).
