How to get to Corfu by plane

The bus option is only acceptable if you are already in Greece and are planning a further trip to Corfu. The bus service between the island and major Greek cities is excellent. Therefore, you shouldn't have any problems buying tickets.

The bus fleet in Greece is equipped with comfortable vehicles of two types, which are written Blue Bus or Green Bus. The former are designed to travel short distances, while the latter buses travel long distances. It is for such a bus that you should purchase a ticket.

Due to the fact that there is a large port in the capital of Corfu, there is an option to reach the island by ferry. Such a trip is available to everyone who rests in Greece or neighboring European countries.

The starting point of departure is the port of Igoumenitsa, from which ferries leave every couple of hours. Ticket offices are located directly at the pier, which is very convenient. That is, you purchase a ticket a few minutes before departure.

Car enthusiasts who prefer to travel by private transport also end up with a ferry, paying 35 euros. You will have to pay about 5 euros for a child, and a ticket for an adult will cost 10 euros.

From Italian cities (Venice, Brindisi, Bari) to Corfu there are ferries of the Anek Lines company. The easiest way to buy tickets is on the carrier's specialized website, using navigation in English. Separately, it should be noted that the most expensive tickets to Corfu are in August and the first mid-September.

There are also ferry options available from places in Greece such as Thessaloniki, Zakynthos, Patras. When buying a bus ticket to Corfu, keep in mind that the ticket price may also include a ferry.

Greek ferry companies make every effort to ensure the comfort of tourists. Therefore, almost all long-distance watercraft are equipped with cabins of different classes, toilets and food-corners, where dishes of local national cuisine are sold.
