A trip to Crimea is a dream of many. And now, finally, the opportunity presented itself to visit this beautiful peninsula. Therefore, information on how it is more convenient to move around the territory of Crimea will be very useful.

Trains

All major cities of the peninsula are connected by railways. The largest transport hubs are Simferopol, Feodosia, Sevastopol. It is also convenient to travel by ordinary trains. At the same time, pensioners are given the opportunity to travel free of charge, and children - a 50% discount.

Bus

This is the most popular way to travel around Crimea. At the same time, there are a huge number of private carriers, so if necessary, you can get to anywhere on the peninsula.

From Simferopol Central Bus Station, buses leave for intercity routes. Another bus station from where you can get to almost any city is the Kurortnaya bus station.

Trolleybus

In addition to road and rail links in Crimea, there is a completely unique way of moving between cities - by trolleybuses. The length of the route is 86 km. This way of travel will be convenient for tourists who need to get to the southern coast of Crimea. The trolleybus stops in Yalta and Alushta.

Water transport

The shores of the peninsula are washed by the waters of two seas at once, so movement by water is quite developed. The cities of Kerch, Yalta, Sevastopol, Evpatoria, Feodosia are connected by sea routes.

Taxi

Another very popular way for the guests of the peninsula to travel around its territory. Services are offered both by the city's taxi companies and private firms. You need to negotiate the price with private traders (bargaining is quite appropriate), and official taxis are required to have meters.

Cable car

There are two cable cars on the peninsula:

  • Small cable car "Yalta - Gorka". The opening took place in 1967. You can get to the boarding platform from the city center. The entrance is located near the Tavrida hotel. The highest station is Darsan Hill. In 12 minutes you will cover a distance of 600 m.
  • Large passenger cable car "Miskhor - Ai-Petri". The construction of the road took place in 1967-1988. The route works all year round and in winter it is sometimes the only way to get to Ai-Petri. On the route, the length of which is 2980 km, there are three stops: "Mishor", "Sosnovy Bor", "Ai-Petri"
