Description of the attraction
Victoria Peak is the first site you should visit first. It is visited by 6 million people annually. Victoria Peak is the highest point of the island (552 m), from the top of which you can enjoy magnificent views of Hong Kong. And if you get to the peak before dark, then you will have a unique opportunity to see a dazzling panorama of the entire Hong Kong Island, the space of new territories, Kowloon and the peaks of the mountains, visible in the distance.
The view from Victoria Peak at night to the thousands of skyscraper lights will give you a thrilling feeling and excitement. Victoria Peak is full of fantastic entertainment, shopping and dining opportunities. The most convenient way to get to the Peak is by funicular railway. It was built in 1888. When getting on the funicular, try to take the front seats, preferably on the right side - this is the most advantageous place from which you can observe the “simple but impressive sight”. The funicular operates from 07.00 to midnight, with a ten-minute interval, every day, seven days a week.
While walking along the Peak, do not forget to stop by for lunch. Usually, Deo Café and Movenpick Marche Restaurant are very popular with tourists. You will be offered an international menu and admire the magnificent views of Hong Kong.
