Description of the attraction

The Moscow theater "Et Cetera" appeared in 1993. Alexander Kalyagin became its founder and artistic director.

In 1990, Alexander Kalyagin graduated from the course at the Moscow Art Theater School. All the guys from the graduation group continued to work together after studying together. They rehearsed in different places. Alexander Kalyagin helped them organize rehearsals. For the poster, they asked Kalyagin's permission to use his name. Alexander Kalyagin had to look at the results of their work. I had to rehearse again, attract additional necessary actors, then ideas began to appear, and then new performances. This is how the Et Cetera theater was born.

The theater got its own theater building in 1996. The decision to build a building for the theater was made in 2002. Alexander Kalyagin convinced a group of architects to mix different architectural styles. The theater building has an original architectural solution. The palace portal is copied from the Bourget palace. The tower at the building is made in a constructivist style. The building has windows of various sizes, shapes and styles. The theater moved to a new building in 2005.

The main principle of this unusual theater is the creation of performances of different styles and attitudes. For this, the theater invites many different directors. A variety of directors have collaborated with the theater: Sturua, Ugarov, Korshunovas, Bertman, Mokeev, Kozak, Muavad and many others.

In 2002 A. Kalyagin received the Stanislavsky Prize and the Golden Mask Prize in 2003 for playing the main role in the play "The King of Kill" A. Zharri.

Creative searches are constantly being conducted in the theater, new ideas appear. The creators of the performances boldly take on little-known works. This, in their opinion, is the style of the theater with the meaningful name "Et Cetera". The theater's repertoire includes such performances as "Hunting Drama". "Companions". Shylock, Orpheus, Fires, Tempest, Wow Dog Feeding, Olesya, Royal Cow, Star Boy and others.
