Description of the attraction
The Sochi Summer Theater is a cultural and leisure institution located in the very center of the city, among the sculptures and greenery of the MV Frunze Park.
The theater was built in 1937. The author of this project was the architect V. S. Krolevtsev. In the 90s. the theater building, like most other similar structures, was in a terrible state. In 2001, the entrepreneur Frolenkov was engaged in its restoration, resuming the reception of artists. However, the reconstruction of the theater did not bring the expected result, and the institution itself was not in demand, and was soon abandoned again.
In 2013, restoration work was completed in the building of the Sochi theater. The reconstruction of the historical appearance of the theater building was carried out by the Buenas Cubanas company. The grand opening of the legendary theater took place on May 10, 2013. After the reconstruction, its functionality has significantly increased. The foundation was strengthened, the columns along the perimeter of the building were reinforced. For the first time in the history of the city, a special heating and ventilation system was installed, allowing the theater to function throughout the year. Today the theater can accommodate 800 visitors.
In addition, the format of the hall was completely renewed in the Summer Theater - today it is a cabaret theater. The chef of the theatrical restaurant will amaze all visitors with real skill.
Such famous Russian performers as: S. Richter, V. Dudarova's orchestra, Kuban Cossack Choir, V. Messing, V. Tolkunov, E. Piekha, vocal and instrumental ensembles "Pesnyary", "Blue Guitars", as well as Sochi rock bands, including Anesthesia, BSP, Shchastye and many others.
