The Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in Moscow is a palace and park ensemble, distinguished by buildings in the Gothic style and picturesque nature. The site for the construction was chosen by the Empress Catherine the Great herself, who was amazed at the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. Today, many buildings of that time have survived in Tsaritsyno, and interesting facts and legends about it attract tourists from all over the world.
The tragedy of the architect Vasily Bazhenov
The creation of the project was entrusted to the court architect V. Bazhenov, who reacted with special trepidation to the order of the empress. The architect presented sketches of all buildings to the Empress in a short time and, after her approval, began to translate his plans into reality. Funding was scarce, so Bazhenov had to take on loans to complete the construction.
Two years after the start of work on the project, Ekaterina comes with a surprise visit. After inspecting all the buildings, the empress makes a disappointing verdict: to dismantle the main palace to the ground and build a new one. In one of her letters to her friend, Catherine complained that the rooms in the palace were too small and narrow, the ceilings were low and she felt uncomfortable here.
For the court architect, the empress's decision was a tragedy. It is still unknown why Catherine forced the palace to be completely remade. Experts are inclined to believe that the empress saw many Masonic signs in the architect's work. Catherine was afraid of everything connected with Freemasonry, so she ordered the palace to be rebuilt. Bazhenov was removed from work, and the project was entrusted to his student Matvey Kazakov.
Mysterious mounds
In the 11-12 centuries, the ancient Vyatichi tribes lived on the territory of Tsaritsyno. According to tradition, the funeral of the Vyatichi was a large-scale event and was accompanied by military competitions, ritual festivities and a feast. Such a sacred feast was performed before the body of the deceased was burned.
The Slavs believed that in the world of the dead, the deceased would need weapons, there were objects, beautiful clothes, so at the time of burial it was all in the mound. The first archaeological excavations of the burial mounds date back to the Soviet era. Archaeological students discovered several hundred well-preserved burial mounds underground in the Tsaritsyn forest park, in which they found household items, ritual clothes, ceramic dishes and other interesting exhibits.
Also, near the mounds, attributes are often found that the ancient Slavs used in various rituals. For example, to appease the pagan god Perun, it was necessary to make an arrow with a tip from a linden tree. For the sacrifice to the goddess Mokosh, it was necessary to put the wormwood herb in a special ceramic vessel. Elements of ritual ceremonies are still found in Tsaritsyno.
Geopathogenic zones
Researchers of anomalous phenomena claim that Tsaritsyno is filled with geopathogenic zones. Numerous experiments have confirmed this fact. The staff of the museum-reserve also note the unusual phenomena taking place on the territory of the estate. In 1985, 2001 and 2003, a tunnel near Tsaritsyno was flooded in the Moscow metro. In addition, in 2012, a fire broke out in a place passing under the park zone of the estate. Experts find several reasons for such negative events:
- the influence of the anomalous zones of Tsaritsyno;
- the curse of the ancient pagan family;
- geopathogenic changes at the energy level.
Experts are regularly studying this kind of phenomena, revealing new mysteries of the estate. Today in Tsaritsyno and around it there are 4 large anomalous zones that can negatively affect the world around them.
Place of power
Tsaritsyno has always had a special energy, so at different times representatives of Tolkienists, hippies and other modern youth movements gathered here.
Even during the reign of Catherine, mass acting shows imitating knightly fights were very popular. This tradition became relevant in the 90s of the 20th century, when everyone who was related to the movement of reenactors came to the estate and staged theatrical shows. People disguised themselves in knightly clothes and fought with wooden swords. Such battles took place according to certain rules and lasted for several days.
About 40 years ago, hippies began to regularly come to Tsaritsyno, who consider this place ideal for seeing off and meeting the summer. Young people gather in a clearing in the park area, perform various rituals, listen to music and engage in various types of creativity. For hippies, Tsaritsyno has become a favorite place where you can feel unity with nature, a special atmosphere and spend time safely.
In addition, in Tsaritsyno you can often see rock climbers, musicians, artists, chess players, etc. The manor has united people of different views, social movements and nationalities thanks to its unique atmosphere.
