Bus travel is preferred by those who can travel for more than 3 days. This way to get to the Kazakh capital cannot be called simple due to the fact that it is difficult to travel by bus from central Russia to Almaty.
The route from Moscow is as follows: Moscow - Kazan; Kazan - Yekaterinburg; Yekaterinburg - Astana; Astana - Alma-Ata. To Almaty by car
Not every Moscow car enthusiast will agree to cover the distance of 3,890 kilometers, including crossing the Kazakh border. However, those who are ready for such an extreme trip should know several important nuances:

- at the border you will be required to take out Kazakh insurance;
- be careful as you move and observe traffic rules;
- take a supply of food and drinking water with you, as there are few food outlets on the routes of Kazakhstan;
