The location of Macedonia (capital - Skopje, area 25713 sq. Km) - Balkan Peninsula (southeast of Europe). On the south side it is bordered by Greece, on the north - Serbia and the Republic of Kosovo, on the east - Bulgaria, on the west - Albania. Most of the country is occupied by the Shar-Planina, Pirin, Skopska-Crna-Gora and Pindus mountain systems, and the highest point is the 2700-meter Korab mountain.
Macedonia consists of 84 communities (Kumanovo, Ilinden, Lipkovo, Tetovo, Arachinovo, Valandovo, Gevgelia, Konche, Doiran, Zayas, Debartsa, Ohrid, Gradsko, Veles and others).
How to get to Macedonia?
Those who set off on the route Moscow - Skopje will make a stop at the air terminals of Zagreb (in the capital of Macedonia it will be possible to arrive after 8, 5 hours after the start of the air trip), Astrakhan and Istanbul (11, 5 hours will be spent on the air trip) or Zurich (the duration of the trip is 8 hours).
Depending on where the stops will be and how long they will last, during the Moscow - Ohrid flight, passengers will spend 13-20 hours on the way. Those who are not averse to applying for a Greek visa can fly to Macedonia via Thessaloniki: from there, a train or plane will take them to Ohrid or Skopje.

Beaches of Macedonia
Despite the fact that Macedonia is landlocked, beach holidays are possible here on the shores of the lakes:
- the beaches of Lake Ohrid: on the local sandy beaches in the season you will be able to jump on a bungee and ride on catamarans. Due to their gentle entry into the water, they are suitable for spending time with children.
- the beaches of Lake Prespa: admire the scenery and take a boat cruise, renting them in Stenje or the village of Konsko. In autumn (until the end of October) you should come here for the fruit and harvest festivals.
