Those interested in a holiday on the UK coastline should be aware that its coastline is represented by narrow, secluded beaches, rocky cliffs, caves and grottoes.
UK coastal resorts (holiday benefits)
Not sure which coastal resort to choose in the UK? Think about what you expect from your vacation. So, for example, if you are interested in windsurfing, head to the island of Tiree (dominated by waves and winds), where you can also take a basic course at the Wild Diamond Center. For families and children, Weston-Super-Mer is suitable. In addition, there is a “Sea Quarium” with an underwater tunnel. And those wishing to enjoy the wildlife should head to Fair Isle: they will have secluded coves and caves at their disposal, and in addition, here you can see various species of birds.
UK cities and resorts on the coast
- Eastbourne: Visitors to the city will be able to see the chalky Beachy Head, admire the Victorian-style buildings, go to South Down National Park, attend the Airbourne airshow (held annually for 4 days in August), roller-skate along the waterfront, relax on the pebble Eastbourne beach, ideal for families and young people (surfing, kayaking, discos and beach barbecues). And in May-September there are performances of musical groups in the "Green Theater".
- Saint-Yves: the city offers to explore the castles of Exmoor and Dartmoor, visit the Tate Saint-Yves wax gallery, admire the stone and bronze sculptures at the Barbara Hepuor Museum. It is worth noting that thanks to the local beaches, this seaside resort has become a member of the "World's Most Beautiful Bays" club (be sure to visit these beaches, which are equipped with everything you need).
- Brighton: here it is worth visiting the Church of St. Bartholomew, go to Stanmer Park (if you wish, under the leadership of an experienced guide, you can go for a walk according to specially designed programs), look into the Fisheries Museum and the Royal Pavilion, the Sea Life aquarium (here you will see giant turtles, toothed sharks, starfish), take a walk along Brighton Pier (here you should admire the sea views, sitting in a sun lounger, ride the Helter-Skelter slide and other attractions, as well as shoot at the shooting range), and in May take part in the celebration Brighton Festival Arts Festival. Brighton Beach deserves special attention: on this pebble beach, guests will be greeted with attractions, restaurants, clubs and bars. Surfers should look for a section of beach with decent waves just outside Brighton's waterfront, and nudists should look for a specially designated area for them in the east of the beach.
Vacationers on the coast of Great Britain will be able to enjoy the seascapes and the unique atmosphere.
