Food in Afghanistan is characterized by fairly low prices, but only if you eat in local restaurants or buy food in local markets.

Afghan cuisine is considered one of the oldest on the planet, and, despite the wars and a meager range of products (due to the natural and climatic conditions in many parts of the country, it is not easy to grow agricultural crops), the local cuisine is known outside the country.
The Afghans' diet consists of rice, meat, vegetables and fruits, thick soups, pasta, dairy products, legumes, offal, and naan cakes.
Pilaf and other meat dishes Afghans prefer to use with various side dishes of vegetables, grains or legumes, as well as with cheese or spicy sauce.
As for spices, Afghan dishes are seasoned with curry, ground grape seeds, a sauce based on vinegar, oil and black pepper, "hawai" (a mixture of turmeric, black pepper, cilantro, cumin).
In Afghanistan, you will be able to try “shish-kebab” (barbecue made of meat, vegetables and bacon skewered on skewers); “Keftu-kebab” (chopped meat and onion shashlik); “Morgue kebab” (chicken kebab); pilaf (it is made from rice, various vegetables and spices with the addition of beef, lamb ribs or poultry meat); Kormi-sabzi (lamb or beef stewed with spinach, spices and other vegetables); Mushawu (yoghurt and legume soup); "Burani" (a dish of tomatoes, eggplant and onions); pulao (a dish made from boiled rice, carrots and raisins); qabli pulao (pulao with lamb).
Those with a sweet tooth should enjoy milk pudding with pistachios, halva, pies stuffed with cheese or jam, candied fruits and nuts, and gosh-fil cookies.

- a cafe where you will be served pilaf and kebabs (these establishments are open in provincial towns).

It is worth noting that you can buy alcoholic beverages in Afghanistan only imported and in establishments that are focused on Europeans.
