The international airport in Cheboksary is the main airport in Chuvashia today, located within the city. Its runway is just over 2.5 kilometers long. And the carrying capacity is about 500 thousand people per year.
The main air carrier of the enterprise today is still the Rusline company. From here, there are year-round flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Surgut, and in the summer, charter flights to Sochi, Simferopol and foreign tourist countries.
For several years now, the airport in Cheboksary has been successfully cooperating with such well-known companies as UTair, RusLine, Tatarstan, and Nordwind Airlines. Air links have been established with Ufa, Samara, Saratov and other Russian cities.
The company is currently working on a project to increase the number of flights. Negotiations are underway to conclude agreements with Yamal and Rossiya airlines for servicing charter flights to Russian resort cities. In 2013, the airport management met with the Bulgarian delegation, where they discussed the concept of further cooperation with Bulgarian air carriers.

The airport in Cheboksary has a standard range of passenger services: cozy waiting rooms, a mother and child room, mail, Internet, payment terminals and ATMs.
There are lockers and a first-aid post. For VIP-clients there is a high-comfort waiting room. Ticket offices are also located here.
In the check-in halls, there are two check-in counters with baggage collection points, as well as border and customs control points. Round-the-clock security of the airport is organized. Free parking is provided in front of the terminal building, next to it is a guarded parking lot.
Travel
Since the airport is located within the city, city regular buses and trolleybuses constantly run here. Trolleybuses on routes # 2 and # 9, as well as bus # 15 go from here to different areas of the capital of Chuvashia. Minibuses run along the same routes with a frequency of 10 minutes.
In addition, you can use the services of a taxi, pre-ordering by phone while in the air, right from the plane. A taxi ride costs about 150 rubles and a little more if you have to get to Novocheboksarsk.
